When you visit, GitHub processes technical connection data, including your IP address, time of access, requested page and browser and operating system information, to deliver and secure the website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable website. Technical log retention is determined by GitHub.

Contacting us
If you contact us, we process your contact details and enquiry to respond. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries, otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our interest in responding. We delete enquiries once resolved unless statutory retention duties or necessary evidence require continued storage. Contacting us does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter.
Interest list and emails
Online signup is not yet enabled. The displayed form does not collect email addresses or postcodes. Before enabling signup, we will add details about the email service, confirmation, unsubscribe process and retention.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We currently use no analytics or advertising cookies. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising UET are not active. We do not record sessions. Fonts are served directly from this website. Any future analytics or advertising services will be described here and, where required, used only with your voluntary consent.
Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools help manage visibility in search engines. A verification code, if present, does not load tracking software in your browser.
Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation, and to direct marketing at any time.
You may complain to a data protection authority, particularly where you live, work or where the alleged infringement occurred. In Berlin, this is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
